Valuation of Property
The County Assessor determines property values and provides
notification of valuation. Please contact the Assessor's Office for
the latest valuation information on your property.
New Ownership
If you are a new owner, you should call the County Assessor to
update name and address information prior to October when tax bills
are prepared.
New Resident
If you are a new resident to Jasper County you should call the
County Assessor to make sure you receive a personal property
assessment list.
Change of Address
A change of address form is provided on your tax statement. If you
move during the year, you must notify the Collector's Office of your
new address. Please have a previous statement with your when
calling, so all parcel numbers in your name can be updated at the
same time. Failure to receive a tax statement does not relieve you
of the obligation to pay taxes.
Property Tax Calendar
January
Personal Property Assessment lists are mailed out. if you do not
receive on, you must notify the Assessor at 417-358-0437. You must
fill out an assessment list to avoid penalties and interest on your
tax statement.
March
Assessment list due on March 1st.
November
Current Real Estate and Personal Property tax statements mailed.
December
To avoid penalties and interest on tax amounts, mail payment by
December 31st of each year. Mail you payment early if you motor
vehicle license expires in January.
