Jasper County, Missouri is using GIS in many aspects of daily government business. The Jasper County Emergency Services relies on GIS technology in conjunction with a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to dispatch emergency vehicles.
The Assessor of Real Estate is using GIS technology to automate the parcel mapping process which expedites parcel updates and makes available maps and data online.
The Health Department is using GIS to map and track ecoli levels in county streams. And this data can be viewed on the Beacon GIS Mapping and Data website. We are also using GIS and technology in general to help automate some of the Health Department functions.
